Thulusdhoo

Surf, Coca-Cola, and island soul

About This Island

A charming local island famous for its world-class surf break, the iconic Coca-Cola factory, and a laid-back atmosphere that draws surfers and travelers seeking authentic Maldivian life.

Thulusdhoo is a local island with a personality all its own. Home to the Maldives' only Coca-Cola bottling plant — a curious landmark that draws visitors as much as the surf — the island is best known for Cokes, one of the finest right-hand reef breaks in the Indian Ocean. Surfers from around the world make the pilgrimage here between March and October, and the island's guesthouses have developed a warm, community-focused culture around the sport. Beyond the surf, Thulusdhoo offers beautiful beaches, excellent snorkeling, and a genuine window into everyday Maldivian life.
